Hello everyone,

On Monday, the 16th of February, I participated in the podcast Blind Guys Chat.

Description:

Blind Guys Chat is a biweekly podcast produced by two blind guys — one in Ireland and one in the Netherlands. The show takes an easy and breezy approach to life, disability, technology, and just about anything else the hosts can think of!

My brother is one of the hosts, and we thought it would be fun to have the Laachir brothers on together for a change 😊

We spoke about a variety of topics, but the main focus was the accessibility of higher education. I shared my experiences at UvA, and my brother talked about his experiences studying at TU Delft as well.

The podcast is in English — I hope you enjoy it!

This was recorded at 8 p.m. in the evening though and I was at uva the entire day, so no promises about my ability to create coherent sentences. 😊

Also, sorry for my absence in February. I had some trouble readjusting to university life in the Netherlands, and I had an eye infection three times.

I’m currently working on a post to summarize my February, but my brain is struggling to recall everything I did — my storage system clearly needs an upgrade 😊

From now on, I’m planning to write a weekly post to share my experiences, so I don’t have to put together such a long update every time.

I should have the longer post ready sometime this week.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the podcast!

yours,

ihab
