Hello everyone,
I am part of a working group against ableism in Amsterdam, and we are organizing an end-of-year borrel on the 20th of december.
Unfortunately, I am in Switzerland with my family from the 17th until the 21th and can’t be there, but I am sharing this for everyone who would like to join!
This is the invitation:
Dear everyone,
Working Group Ableism Amsterdam has been around for half a year, and we would love to celebrate that with you! We would also like to sincerely thank you all for your support. That is why we warmly invite you to our winter drinks gathering next week.
Will you join us?
When: 20 December, from 16:30 to 19:30
Where: De Bonte Zwaan, Haparandadam 7, 1013 AK Amsterdam
Dietary requirements: Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Vegetarian options will be available by default.

There will be a varied program with food, drinks, and themed tables. We will look back on our first milestones in 2025: the diverse programs on intimacy and disability, our work addressing ableism and colonialism, and the raising of the Disability Flag. We will also share more about our ambitions for 2026.
Working Group Ableism Amsterdam was founded to raise awareness about ableism. Of course, we cannot do this alone. That is why we invite everyone who has supported us in this mission over the past period — whether you are part of the community, an ally, a volunteer, or a partner of Working Group Ableism Amsterdam. Would you like to get to know us, or collaborate in the future? Then this is the moment! Talk to members of the working group to explore how you can get involved in the coming year. There will be a cozy space specifically for people who do not want to socialize continuously. Feel free to bring a cushion or blanket and join us there!
